Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2020, $1,500,000)

The purpose of this award, funded under the Improving Outcomes for Child and Youth Victims of Human Trafficking Program, is to improve outcomes for children and youth who are victims of human trafficking by integrating human trafficking policy and programming at the state or tribal level and enhancing coordinated, multidisciplinary, and statewide approaches to serving trafficked youth.

Nebraska's Support for Youth Victims of Human Trafficking project aims to design and implement a statewide collaborative, cross-agency response to child and youth human trafficking. The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services will build upon existing resources and provide new investment in statewide service providers and four tribal/native communities to provide trauma-informed and developmentally, culturally, and linguistically appropriate services for child and youth victims of sex and labor trafficking up to age 24 in every Nebraska county.
