Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2020, $1,500,000)

The purpose of this award, funded under the OVC FY 2020 Advancing the Use of Technology to Assist Victims of Crime solicitation, is to support organizations that demonstrate innovative strategies to create, expand, or enhance the use of technology initiatives to improve response, services, and access for victims of crime.

The National Domestic Violence Hotline will use this award to increase their capacity to assist victims of domestic violence by enhancing and expanding digital services and enhancing the Hotline’s current provider database by adding the ability to track the availability of shelter beds nationwide. Proposed activities will enhance and increase resources to best serve victims, work to fill gaps in services, and promote collaboration among service providers.
