Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2020, $664,932)

The purpose of this award, funded under the program OVC FY 2020 Services for Minor Victims of Labor Trafficking, is to enhance the quality and quantity of services available to assist a minor “victim of trafficking,” as defined by the Trafficking Victims Protection Act of 2000, as amended, by providing high-quality services that are developmentally appropriate and tailored for the individual needs of young trafficking victims.

This project seeks to provide trauma-responsive holistic legal services for minor victims of labor trafficking in Ohio, with a focus on Lucas and Franklin counties and the flexibility to provide services in other areas of Ohio where none exist and/or where a victim may have relocated. This project places a particular emphasis on collaboration and local partner training on labor trafficking, identification of minor labor trafficking victims, and placing emphasis on building resilience-based services and networks to enhance the quality of services for all trafficking victims.CA/NCF
