The goal of the FY 2020 Housing Assistance Grants for Victims of Human Trafficking Program is to support housing assistance for victims of all forms of human trafficking throughout the United States, as defined by the Trafficking Victims Protection Act (TVPA) of 2000, as amended. Funding through this solicitation supports programs that provide 6 to 24 months of transitional housing with support services to victims of human trafficking who are in need of housing as a result of human trafficking. Funding will be provided over a three-year project period. This project will address is the lack of housing and trauma-informed support services for victims of human trafficking in Suffolk County, NY. The ECLI Human Trafficking Housing Program will implement a multipronged approach to housing victims of human trafficking in Suffolk County, NY. In collaboration with AXIS Church, a residential facility will provide housing for victims of human trafficking where 24/7 services and support will be delivered. The facility will support the successful transition of victims to permanent housing. The housing program will also provide transitional housing and financial assistance for victims of human trafficking and support services, including but not limited to locating and securing permanent housing, secure employment, employment counseling, occupational training, job retention counseling, re-entry into the workforce counseling, transportation, childcare services, outpatient drug rehabilitation, vocational or educational programs, work readiness, skill-building workshops, parenting workshops, crisis intervention, intensive and ongoing case management, individual and group counseling (grief, trauma, domestic violence, trauma bonding, PTSD, etc.).
