The purpose of this program is to develop, expand, or strengthen victim service programs for victims of human trafficking, to include enhancing the capacity of law enforcement and other stakeholders to identify victims and provide justice for those victims through the investigation and prosecution of their traffickers. This award made to County of Summit is funded under FY 2020 Enhanced Collaborative Model Task Force to Combat Human Trafficking which is designed to The Summit County Sheriff’s Office and RAHAB Ministries are partnering together as the lead law enforcement and lead victims’ services agencies to form the Summit County Human Trafficking Task Force (SCHTTF). Along with other task force partners, SCHTTF will work together to identify and provide support to victims of human trafficking and ensure those victims have access to comprehensive wrap-around services. The task force will also work together to increase communication and data sharing between agencies to not only provide better support to victims, but also to increase the amount of arrests and prosecutions of traffickers. The purpose of the SCHTTF will be to create a bigger and stronger network to combat human trafficking in Summit County, Ohio and surrounding Northeast Ohio
CA/NCF.
