This guide provides AMBER Alert coordinators, law enforcement, and public safety professionals with an effective and efficient way to implement an Endangered Missing Advisory (EMA) plan.
Abstract
Describes how a community can establish a task force to create an endangered missing advisory (EMA) plan, which creates voluntary partnerships to rapidly recover missing persons who do not fit the AMBER Alert criteria but who may be in danger. EMAs help law enforcement notify the general public that someone is missing and ultimately save lives. The guide provides directions for developing, activating, and sustaining an EMA plan and includes sample plans and press releases.
