Violence prevention

Teen Dating Violence Prevention and Awareness Month is a national effort to raise awareness about abuse in teen and 20-something relationships and promote programs that prevent it during the month of February. This site provides access to resources to raise awareness during this annual commemoration.

Community United Against Violence offers violence prevention services (particularly for hate and domestic violence) to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender communities.

The Family Advocacy Program serves as a resource for military families experiencing family violence by providing prevention efforts, early identification and intervention, support for victims, and treatment for offenders.

The Workplace Violence section of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration site links to a variety of reference materials on the prevention of workplace violence.

The National Council on Child Abuse and Family Violence provides intergenerational violence prevention services by bringing together community and national stakeholders, professionals, and volunteers to prevent family violence, child abuse and neglect, spouse/partner abuse, and elder abuse.

The National Resource Center on Domestic Violence provides technical assistance, training, and specialized materials and projects designed to enhance domestic violence intervention and prevention strategies.
