Victims of crime require a broad range of services and resources to heal, become self-sufficient, and thrive. The Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) has funding available this year to support federally recognized Indian tribes interested in developing or sustaining crime victim services programs. Join us for a live, virtual Talking Circle titled “Funding Healing: Securing federal funds to support victims of crime in their healing journey” on February 18 from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. eastern time.

Representatives from current OVC-funded tribal victim services programs and OVC staff will discuss—

  1. how to develop new and enhance existing tribal victim services programs and
  2. how funding from OVC’s Tribal Victim Services Set-Aside Formula program can support these efforts.

Participants can submit questions that will be answered in real time during the event. There is no cost to participate in the Talking Circle, which is presented by OVC’s Human Trafficking Capacity Building Center.
