The Utah Trafficking In Persons (UTIP) Task Force’s mission is to implement a coordinated victim-centered, trauma-informed approach through multidisciplinary collaboration to combat human trafficking in Utah. To accomplish the mission the UTIP Task Force proposes a three-year project with the goals of 1) Improving and Strengthening Task Force internal foundations, victim-centered operations and multidisciplinary collaboration, 2) Strategically providing training and increasing public and community awareness and engagement, 3) Refining and enhancing case operations to increase victim identification, investigations and prosecutions of all forms of trafficking and delivery of victim services, and 4) Ensuring that Task Force decisions and its direction are based on data collection and analysis and an assessment of its activities. The project will target human trafficking throughout the entire state of Utah.  Through this project, the UTIP Task Force aims to expand task force effectiveness and build on current momentum to make statewide strides in will and capacity to address sex and labor trafficking.
