City of Elk Grove Domestic Violence Intervention and Prevention Program

This project will expand a Domestic Violence Prevention Program.  The Program will fund two Victim Advocate positions within the Police Department to serve domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse victims. Adding these workers to the program will ensure trained personnel are on call to respond to families in a domestic violence crisis. These social workers will also be able to connect youth who are likely to be at-risk for delinquent behavior to counseling and support services with the goal of them not becoming involved in gang and drug related activities.
