The goal of this project is to address gap in basic needs assistance for victims of crime in northern New Jersey, particularly those affected by domestic violence from Muslim, Arab, Hispanic/Latinx & South Asian immigrant communities. With this funding, WAFA HOUSE, INC., will provide assistance for victims of crime in northern New Jersey, particularly those affected by domestic violence. The target populations are from Muslim, Arab, Hispanic/Latinx, and South Asian immigrant communities. Servies will include emergency shelter and rental support to prevent homelessness, food to address hunger, utility support to prevent shut-offs, transportation to access social services, childcare support, diaper provision, and job readiness programs.
