Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2024, $200,000)

The purpose of this grant program is to provide culturally responsive services to crime victims and survivors from communities that have been historically underserved; marginalized; adversely affected by inequality; and disproportionately impacted by crime, violence, and victimization. With this funding, DVSA COMMUNITIES will serve Latina women who are immigrants, undocumented, and victims of crime. The program will offer transportation and assistance in overcoming food insecurities in the Chicago area.
