Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2024, $200,000)

The purpose of this grant program is to provide culturally responsive services to crime victims and survivors from communities that have been historically underserved; marginalized; adversely affected by inequality; and disproportionately impacted by crime, violence, and victimization. With this funding, SPRINGHAVEN, INC., will enhance support services for survivors of domestic violence, focusing on safety, healing, and empowerment for a diverse population of domestic violence survivors within the Lincoln Trail Area Development District in Kentucky. This includes individuals from various racial and ethnic backgrounds, particularly underserved groups such as Hispanic and African American/Black communities. Services to support domestic violence survivors will include emergency shelter, legal advocacy, counseling, support groups, housing assistance, economic empowerment, food, clothing, transportation, and childcare.
