Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2008, $350,000)

The purpose of this competitive award is to support the award recipients of the FY2008 Counseling & Faith0Bsed Services for Crime Victims in Indian Country grant program pursuant to authority of 42 U.S.C. § 10603(c)(1)(B). This objective will be achieved by providing culturally appropriate training and technical assistance (T&TA) to enhance the development and expansion of organizations' capabilities to provide counseling services to crime victims. The T&TA provider will ensure the adequacy of services to crime victims and will support the creation of collaborative relationships among faith-based organizations (FBOs) and local victim assistance programs in American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) communities.
