Legislators, policy makers, attorneys, national victims organizations, and survivors of homicide victims will gather to address issues of importance to victims of homicide and their survivors, highlight effective collaborative efforts and promising practice models for victim service providers from around the country, and promote the awareness of victim rights. The symposium will be followed by a ceremony appropriately honoring the memory of victims lost to homicide. Informational packets on helping communities to observe the National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims around the nation will be developed and available at each event.
