Under the FY 2018 Integrated Services for Minor Victims of Trafficking program, all grantees are required to serve all minor victims (boys and girls under age 18) of all forms of human trafficking (sex and labor). The grantee will work with OVC Program Managers and Training and Technical Assistance Providers to ensure all victims are served. New Directions for Youth, Inc., (NDY) is a nonprofit community-based organization and will implement the Youth Safety and Empowerment Project to provide services to minor victims of human trafficking in the northern Los Angeles area. This area includes the North Hollywood, Hollywood, Panorama City, North Hills, Sun Valley, Pacoima, and West Valley. NDY will provide trauma-informed care and counseling, youth intensive case management, basic necessities, life skills, assessment, shelter, substance abuse treatment, transportation and other healing activities to 40 youth. NDY’s Youth Safety and Empowerment Project will develop partnerships and collaborations to support minor victims as part of comprehensive service provision program. The project will include protocols to ensure that human trafficking victims are able to access services from NDY and its partner agencies in a seamless delivery of youth intensive case management and direct services, deployed using an evidence-based, integrated service model.
