Enhanced Collaborative Model to Combat Human Trafficking in San Diego County

The purpose of this program is to develop, expand, or strengthen victim service programs for victims of human trafficking, to include enhancing the capacity of law enforcement and other stakeholders to identify victims and provide justice for those victims through the investigation and prosecution of their traffickers. This award made to North County Lifeline, Inc., is funded under FY 2020 Enhanced Collaborative Model Task Force to Combat Human Trafficking which is designed to support work of The San Diego Human Trafficking Task Force to identify and rescue victims and hold their offenders accountable by creating a coordinated law enforcement system to investigate and prosecute offenders; identifying and disrupting emerging trends involving domestic and transnational criminal organizations; providing tools, education and community resources; promoting community awareness; training local law enforcement and communities on human trafficking and labor trafficking indicators and responses; and expanding the exchange of information by creating a mechanism for statewide strategic cooperation.
