OVC FY 10 Standards for Victim Assistance Programs and Providers

One cooperative agreement of up to $325,000 will be awarded to update an existing OVC resource entitled Standards for Victim Assistance Programs and Providers. The enhancement of this resource will update the document for contemporary relevance and promote competence and ethical integrity of victim service providers and quality and consistency of services for crime victims and their families. The grantee must reconvene the National Victim Assistance Standards Consortium in order to update the resource; work in close coordination and consultation with OVC to conduct outreach to targeted audiences to disseminate the kit as a capacity-building resource for the victim services field; and provide training on the utility of the enhanced resource. Those applying are urged to begin the application process well in advance of the July 1, 2010, deadline.
