This document focuses on ways in which people can help crime victims by providing a resource guide on the development of victim-centered and trauma-informed community services. The National Crime Victims’ Rights Week (NCVRW) Resource Guide provides a wide range of outreach tools and sample materials for carrying out an NCVRW awareness campaign and other public awareness campaigns throughout the year; it includes suggestions for raising community awareness, sample materials for traditional as well as social media, a history of the crime victims’ rights movement, and original artwork for the national effort. The Resource Guide is divided into sections, providing a document overview, how to use the guide, how to plan outreach efforts, working with the media, and helpful resources for community outreach efforts that include ideas for special events and other tips.
