Discover Resources to Raise Awareness During National Crime Victims’ Rights Week

Today, Monday, April 20, 2020, Director Hart recognized the commencement of National Crime Victims' Rights Week (NCVRW). Join her and OVC staff in observing NCVRW through April 25, 2020, by exploring the following resources to help you raise awareness about victims' rights and services.

The 2020 NCVRW Resource Guide provides a wealth of materials, in both English and Spanish, to educate the public about victims' rights, protections, and services during NCVRW and throughout the year. The online guide includes—

  • sample social media and blog posts,
  • information on the history of victims’ rights in the United States,
  • professional artwork to brand your observance, and more.

The 2020 NCVRW theme—Seek Justice | Ensure Victims' Rights | Inspire Hope—underscores the importance of seeking justice for all victims of crime, ensuring that crime victims’ rights are honored, educating the public about those rights, and inspiring hope for individual survivors and communities.

View the Theme Video to learn more about this year’s theme and share as part of your online campaign. Consider using the NCVRW Presidential Proclamation and the U.S. Department of Justice’s NCVRW press release in your efforts.
