Apply for the FY 2019 Using Telehealth to Improve Care, Access and Quality of Sexual Assault Forensic Exams solicitation
This program seeks to develop or enhance statewide or regional telehealth programs to improve the quality of healthcare for sexual assault victims, increase the access and quality of forensic evidence collection, and expand the reach of Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) services through telehealth technology for communities with limited access to trained SANEs.
Apply under one of the following purpose areas:
Purpose Area 1: State/Tribal/Regional Demonstration Sites
The primary goal of this program is to increase the number of highly trained, experienced SANEs and other medical forensic examiners and provide high-quality care for victims of sexual assault.
Under Purpose Area 1, OVC expects to make up to 3 awards of up to $4,000,000 each for a 36-month period of performance, to begin on October 1, 2019. OVC may also make additional awards to applicants serving Tribal populations.
Purpose Area 2: Technical Assistance Provider
The successful applicant under this program will provide technical assistance to the Purpose Area 1 sites during the planning and implementation of a telehealth program.
Under Purpose Area 2, OVC expects to make up to 1 award of up to $2,000,000 for a 36-month period of performance, to begin on October 1, 2019.
