The Center models, promotes, and delivers excellence in child abuse response and prevention through service, education, and leadership.

This organization's mission is to break the cycle of abuse and neglect by empowering practitioners who work to transform the lives of children and families living in drug environments. The Alliance provides training and technical assistance to state drug-endangered children alliances and all those in the community who assist and care for drug-endangered children.

The Network works to raise the standard of care and improve access to services for traumatized children, their families, and communities throughout the United States.

AAP is an organization of 60,000 pediatricians committed to the attainment of optimal physical, mental, and social health and well-being for all infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is the lead Federal agency for developing and applying disease prevention and control. The agency promotes educational activities designed to improve environmental and personal health nationwide.

AACAP offers information as a public service, distributing fact sheets for parents and caregivers and research and guidelines for psychiatric staff. The Web site offers articles for helping children cope with trauma, stress, and disasters. Information is also available in Spanish.

The Academy on Violence and Abuse exists to advance health education and research on the prevention, recognition, and treatment of the health effects of violence and abuse.

This association helps set the agenda and determine the direction of state mental health agency interests across the country, historically including state mental health planning, service delivery, and evaluation.

NAMI is dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and families affected by mental illness.
