Victim services

The National Crime Victim Bar Association educates attorneys, victim service providers, and the general public about civil legal remedies for crime victims. The National Crime Victim Bar Association also provides referrals for crime victims to civil attorneys in their local area.

The Crime Victims Center, Inc. is a community and victim's rights organization dedicated to the prevention and treatment of sexual abuse and the provision of comprehensive trauma informed support services to victims of violent crime, and elderly, minor, and disabled victims of all crime. 

This Victim Services Directory was created by the Department of Justice Canada to help service providers, victims, and individuals locate services for victims of crime across Canada.

The DEA Victim Witness Assistance Program helps to ensure the rights of crime victims encountered in DEA investigations are met.

The National Adult Protective Services Association provides state Adult Protective Services program administrators and staff with a forum for sharing information, solving problems, and improving the quality of services for victims of elder and vulnerable adult abuse.

SAPRO is responsible for oversight of the U.S. Department of Defense's sexual assault policy. SAPRO works hand-in-hand with the military and civilian communities to develop and implement innovative prevention and response programs. This office provides services to victims of crime, including specialized services to victims of sexual assault.

Pathways to Safety International (formerly the Americans Overseas Domestic Violence Crisis Center) provides crisis services to victims crime outside the United States, including the crimes of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking.

The Centre offers information on victims' rights, services, and financial assistance in Canada.
