Attend a powerful and inspiring event - Stories of Bravery, Healing and Hope: Survivors Art Exhibition! Witness the strength and resilience of survivors of sexual violence and domestic/family violence share their transformative journeys of healing and hope through art. This in-person exhibition showcases a collection of pieces such as artwork, sculptures, poetry, photography and more. 

Be part of this important event to honor the bravery of survivors and contribute to a safer, more compassionate community. Together, we can make a difference. This event is open to the public and free to enter. Refreshments will be served, and there will be an event photographer taking photos throughout the event. Local resources and victim advocates from YWCA New Britain Sexual Assault Crisis Service and Prudence Crandall will be present for this event to provide information and support. 

  • Opening Reception: Thursday, July 18th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. 
  • Open Gallery Hours: July 19th - August 4th, 2024 (Thursdays to Sundays from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.) 

This group art show is organized and curated by artist, muralist and survivor, Amanda Mendoza Art. This event is made possible with the support of the Department of Economic and Community Development, Office of the Arts, which also receives support from the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.
