OVC seeks applications for funding to support the development and enhancement of partnerships between juvenile detention centers or jails and community-based victim service providers, with the goal of increasing access to outside support services for incarcerated juvenile survivors of sexual abuse.
OVC will make awards under two program purpose areas.
Purpose Area 1: Project Sites
Project sites will partner with juvenile facilities to develop victim advocacy services, response protocols, and service delivery methods.
Under Purpose Area 1, OVC expects to make up to four awards of up to $500,000 each for a 36-month period of performance to begin on October 1, 2022.
Purpose Area 2: Technical Assistance Provider
The selected applicant will provide technical assistance to correctional institutions and victim service providers to help ensure the delivery of services to detained juvenile victims.
Under Purpose Area 2, OVC expects to make up to one award of up to $750,000 for a 36-month period of performance to begin on October 1, 2022.
