The Center assists with building broad-based, multidisciplinary state and Tribal coalitions to identify and address elder justice issues. The Center offers training and technical assistance to new and existing coalitions and serves as a clearinghouse on elder justice issues, programs, and advocacy, and also funds a grant program to create new or enhance existing elder justice coalitions.

In August of 2016, a new VOCA Rule clarified and expanded states’ allowable uses of VOCA victim assistance funding. This rule paved the way for states to identify additional ways to support all victims of crime, including victims of elder abuse.
