The Texas Department of Criminal Justice and the Victim Services Division request the honor of your presence at the 2026 National Crime Victims’ Rights Week Commemorative Ceremony. The Office of Justice Programs, Office of Victims of Crime, has designated April 19–25, 2026 as National Crime Victims’ Rights Week.

The ceremony's theme, CommUNITY, emphasizes the “unity in the community” of countless people who support crime survivors – from victim services organizations, criminal justice professionals, and mental/behavioral health experts, to multifaith institutions, family members, and friends of victims and survivors. The event begins at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 23, 2026, and will promote awareness of victims’ rights and services, and honor victims of crime and those who serve them.

Date Created: March 4, 2026
