This victim-centered event aimed at increasing the awareness of victim-survivor support services in the greater Baton Rouge area. This is a safe, open space for folks to be able to gain knowledge of the services needed for their healing journey.
All are welcome.
This event is for victims and survivors of crime, their supporters and allies, and service providers.
Organizations include Louisiana Probation & Parole, East Baton Rouge District Attorney's Office, East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office Sex Offender Registry, National Alliance on Mental Illness - Louisiana, Louisiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence, and many more!
There will be food and drinks available, as well as interactive expressive arts elements!
Louisiana Victim-Survivor Rights & Services are grant initiatives of the Department of Public Safety & Corrections and Board of Pardons & Committee on Parole. They apply a three-pronged approach revolving around education, connection, and healing. They handle tasks regarding victim notification and registration, client and counseling services, victim impact interviewing, the Victim-Offender Dialogue and Accountability Letter Bank Program.
