2023 National Crime Victims’ Rights Week Resource Guide

Overview

National Crime Victims' Rights Week (NCVRW) will be commemorated April 23–29, 2023.

The 2023 NCVRW theme is Survivor Voices: Elevate. Engage. Effect Change. This year's theme calls upon communities to amplify the voices of survivors and create environments where survivors have the confidence that they will be heard, believed, and supported.

The 2023 NCVRW Resource Guide contains a wide array of outreach tools and sample materials to help you quickly and capably develop and carry out your NCVRW awareness campaign and other public awareness campaigns throughout the year. Resource Guide highlights include suggestions for raising awareness in your community, sample materials for traditional and social media, a history of the crime victims’ rights movement, and original artwork to unite this national effort.

Join OVC during NCVRW 2023 as we commit to elevating and engaging survivors to lift their voices, inform policy and practice, and thereby effect change. By engaging survivors, we will ensure our responses and services to victims and survivors are credible, meaningful, and centered on their individual needs.

These 2023 National Crime Victims' Rights Week materials were created by the National Center for Victims of Crime with funding from OVC.

Sign up for the NCVRW subscription list to receive information about future NCVRW commemorations and nomination periods for the National Crime Victims’ Service Awards.
