Planning Your Program

We do not intend to define exactly what your Good Samaritans program should look like or how you should operate or fund it. The City of Mobile program operates a little differently than the one in the City of Prichard, even though both cities are in Mobile County, Alabama. In Mississippi, the Good Samaritans program is tailored to the unique conditions in Jackson County, even though it is modeled after Mobile County's founding program.

Although the core elements of all these programs are consistent, each one is structured to fit the community, the resources, and the needs of local crime victims. The program can be as big or as small as you can manage. That said, we would like you to benefit from our combined experience, so that you can capitalize on our successes and avoid some of our mistakes.
