Loveisrespect.org

This initiative promotes awareness of healthy dating relationships by making vital resources accessible to help teens experiencing dating violence and offering tips on preventing abusive relationships. The Loveisrespect.org helpline provides 24/7 phone (866-331-9474), text (LOVEIS to 22522), and online chat services to victims of dating violence; service providers and allied professionals; and concerned parents, friends and other members of the community.

Department of Defense (DoD): Safe Helpline

The DoD Safe Helpline is a confidential, anonymous crisis support service for members of the DoD community affected by sexual assault. Operated by the Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network (RAINN), the helpline provides live, one-on-one expert advice and information 24/7.

USA.gov

As the U.S. government's official web portal, USA.gov makes it easy for the public to get U.S. government information and services on the web. USA.gov helps the public locate and understand government benefits, programs, and information.

Identity Theft Resource Center

The Identity Theft Resource Center is a nonprofit consumer information, research, and advocacy organization that offers public education, prevention tips, victim information guides, and other resources. Victims of identity theft can receive expert services by contacting the Center's hotline toll free at 888-400-5530 or online chat.

U.S. Department of Health & Human Services: Eldercare Locator

This toll free service (800-677-1116) helps older adults and their caregivers find local services for seniors, including home care, transportation, housing alternatives, home repair, recreation, social activities, and legal and other community services. The directory is a service of the U.S. Administration for Community Living.

Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network (RAINN)

RAINN operates a 24-hour hotline for English- and Spanish-speaking survivors of sexual assault (call 800-656-HOPE, text HOPE to 64673, or chat online). RAINN provides a safe, secure, and anonymous place for victims to get help. RAINN also works to promote education and prevention of sexual assault and compiles and shares links to legal resources, including the State Mandatory Regulations regarding children and the elderly.

National Organization for Victim Advocacy

The National Organization for Victim Advocacy advocates for dignity and compassion for those harmed by crime. Among the services they provide are skill-based and survivor-centered training to victim advocates and crisis responders.

National Domestic Violence Hotline

Contact the National Domestic Violence Hotline 24 hours a day, 7 days a week toll free at 800-799-7233 or TTY 800-787-3224, through online chat, or by texting START to 88788. Staff are standing by to provide crisis intervention, information about domestic violence, and referrals to local programs. All services are free and confidential.

National Coalition Against Domestic Violence

This grassroots membership organization provides technical assistance, networking, and support to programs and state coalitions serving battered women and their children. This coalition also provides information and referrals to the general public and the media.

Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD)

MADD has hundreds of chapters that assist victims of drunk driving crashes at the local level. Its website offers statistics, activism information, and program awareness resources. Victims of drunk driving and their loved ones can call MADD's 24-hour hotline 877-MADD-HELP (877-623-3435) to speak with a victim advocate for emotional support, guidance, and referrals.

Childhelp

Childhelp is dedicated to the treatment and prevention of child abuse. The website includes information on nationwide facilities, helpful links, programs, and child abuse reports. Call or text the National Child Abuse Hotline at 800-4-A-CHILD (800-422-4453) or use their online chat if you suspect that a child is being abused or neglected, or if you are a child who is being mistreated.

U.S. Department of Defense: Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Office (SAPRO)

SAPRO is responsible for oversight of the U.S. Department of Defense's sexual assault policy. SAPRO works hand-in-hand with the military and civilian communities to develop and implement innovative prevention and response programs. This office provides services to victims of crime, including specialized services to victims of sexual assault.

Victim Support Europe

This organization promotes victims' rights and offers information and referrals to victims of crime.

National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI)

NAMI is dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and families affected by mental illness. The NAMI hotline provides information, resource referrals, and support to people living with mental health conditions, their family members and caregivers, mental health providers, and the public.
