As our lives become increasingly connected, technology, social media, and artificial intelligence have created new and devastating ways to cause harm. This webinar explores the emerging and often misunderstood issue of cyber assault, the use of digital platforms and tools to harass, humiliate, or threaten individuals.

From the non-consensual sharing of intimate images (“revenge porn”) to AI-generated deepfakes, digital stalking, impersonation, and fabricated conversations, these acts can have life-altering impacts on victims. Yet accountability remains elusive: jurisdiction crosses borders, anonymity shields offenders, and law enforcement often lacks the training or legal framework to pursue justice.

Learn about—

  • the many forms of cyber assault and their real-world consequences,
  • how AI and social media amplify opportunities for abuse,
  • why traditional legal and investigative systems struggle to respond, and
  • emerging strategies for prevention, policy, and victim support.
